1. Create a SCAR from a Supplier Profile
A SCAR must be created from a profile. If the profile you need cannot be found, contact your Cpro administrator
2. Supplier Profile
Find the supplier name you wish to raise a SCAR against
3. Special Action against a supplier
Open the profile and select 'Supplier Corrective Actions' from the Special Actions' menu on the left hand side.
4. Create Special Action
All previous SCAR's will be visible in this section of the profile. To create a new SCAR, select 'Create Special Action'.
5. Raising a new SCAR
Choose the organization responsible for handling this SCAR
6. SCAR Title
Start the SCAR detail with a title and be as descriptive as you want. The detail you enter here is a good way of immediately identifying a SCAR from the list and also helps with searching
7. SCAR Controlling Document
Because this SCAR is created directly from a profile it automatically includes a link to that profile
8. SCAR Categorization
Select the SCAR reason and product
9. External Routing
Complete the information for the supplier contact. Their name may be entered in the CPro Directory already or can be added though they may not have access to Cpro so will have to be emailed outside of Cpro in order to get their feedback on the issue
10. Priority and Schedule
Set the priority and requested due date for a response to the SCAR
11. Problem Description
Use the drop down categories to select the phrase which best describes the source and basic problem then describe in detail the issue
12. Attachments and Images
You can place an image of the issue in the box or you can attach a file
13. Associated Items and Hosted Data
In Associated Items you can link other documents from within Cpro. In Hosted Profiles Data you can also link other profiles for customers and/or Suppliers
14. Notification list and submission
Use the chevron to add other people to be copied once this SCAR is submitted. Once completed you can save and exit or submit if you are ready to go to the response step. Acceptance is automatic and the requester becomes the SCAR expediter by default
