Navigating, Opening, Editing and Saving an Existing Early Alert

This help tutorial will explain in detail how to Navigate, Open, Edit and Save an Existing Early Alert Record in C-Pro

From C-Pro home screen

  1. Display main menu
  2. Click on "CAPA" Module
  3. Click on "Action Items" Section of the Module

Section in the red box above shows you all the different Action Items created in West Haven's Organization.  These are both the Early Alerts and Action Items.  Right now the list is short and easy to navigate, however as more early alerts are logged in and more Action Items are generated it would be easier to narrow down this list just to Early Alerts.

  1. Click on "by Document Type"
  2. Click on "Early Alert Request"

This will narrow down your list just to include Early Alerts

Blue text in C-Pro designates that it's a linked field and by clicking on it you will be able to open the record.

  1. Click on the necessary Early Alert Request to open it.

  1. Yellow triangle next to the Early Alert name allows you to see what other records in C-Pro are linked with this Early Alert Request.  Click on the triangle to expand your view.  If no records are linked with an Early Alert you will not see a yellow triangle.
  2. You can now navigate to the necessary response part of the Early Alert by clicking on the appropriate response you want to open.  Some Early Alerts might have Notes linked to them, you will be able to open those notes form this list as well.

After opening the Early Alert response, request, or note record you can edit it only if you are the Requester (person whom initiated the early alert) or Expediter (Person to whom the Early Alert record is assigned to).

  1. Click on "Edit" button on the top menu items.

When making changes, keep in mind that if C-pro is inactive for more then 30 minutes, then the system will log you out.  When you are logged out by the system for inactivity your changes will not be automatically saved.  So it's important that if you step away from your computer to save changes you made.

  1. Save record by clicking on the "Save" button on the top menu items.

  1. Clicking on the "Close" button will allow you to get back to the Early Alert Request List.
  2. Clicking on the "Compliant Pro" logo will allow you to get back to the Home Screen
