Document Obsolescence
Start the Obsolescence Process
From an approved - released document you will see the 'Obsolete' button if you have rights to make that document obsolete. If not then you may request a change and send to the author to suggest this document be made obsolete
Making Obsolete
As no layouts are relevant for this task you can chevron forward to progress
Why make obsolete
Enter your reason for making this document obsolete
Responsibility for obsolescence
Add expediter, additional expediters and a different manager as required.
Submit for obsolescence
When ready, hit the 'submit for approval' button. You can choose to save and close and come back to it later.

Choose an allowance and hit forward chevron to proceed
Submission of request
Unless you wish to 'wait for everybody to approve before making obsolete you can hit the chevron

Hit 'Confirm Submit'
Approval of the obsolescence
The status is now 'Approval - Requested' and from this point you can choose to Approve, Reject or Clear the process to start again. Rejecting will cancel the process and send a message back to the requester.
Document Status
Until the document is approved for obsolescence the document will remain in approved released status
Viewing the document obsolescence request
Under the Approved documents view you will be able to see the document in request state.
Approving for Obsolescence
Open the document obsolescence request and select 'Approve'.
Approve
Enter your CPro password to approve the document for obsolescence and confirm
Obsoleted Document state
The document obsolescence request now shows as approved but not approved - Released anymore.
Final State
You may need to refresh by logging out and back in again before you see the document removed from Approved view.
